About Car Hire Montenegro
Car Hire Montenegro is a car hire search for the whole country. The search on this site is run by our booking partner, which lists cars from local rental companies and takes the booking. We do not own cars and we do not take payment.
What the site does
It shows the cars bookable for your dates at Tivat Airport, Podgorica Airport and the towns, with each car's conditions shown before you pay: the deposit and how it is paid, free cancellation where the car offers it, the gearbox, the seats, the minimum driver age and any mileage limit. A rental company hands over the car at the time and place on your voucher.
The written pages cover what a hire in Montenegro involves: the two airports and the drive times out of them, the documents and card for the handover, the standard insurance and what it leaves out, driving across a border, one-way hire inside the country, tolls, the Kamenari to Lepetane ferry and parking. The guides follow two drives: a week from the coast to the mountains, with the car collected at Tivat Airport and left at Podgorica Airport, and the serpentine road up to Lovćen.
Where the facts come from
The rental conditions are our booking partner's terms for Montenegro, reproduced clause by clause. Drive times are without traffic, so a summer queue on the coast or at a border comes on top. Tolls, ferry fares, parking prices and road rules come from the operators, the authorities and the local press, each recorded with its source and the date it was read.
